SEPTA

Seeing as I have no car (because I'm poor and earth friendly) and I don't ride my bike after dark or when its raining. I end up riding on SEPTA. Last night I took the M/F El to the 30th street station and then out to Yunk (Manayunk) by the #9 bus. This morning I took the El to work because it was suppose to rain most of the day. SEPTA is kind of my my best friend and greatest annoyance.

When I am riding my bike I hate buses. Not only is it difficult for the Driver to see you, but they like to drive in the Bike lane, seeing as they have to pull over to pick up people anyways. It also does not help that Bus drivers drive like they have two seat sports cars, not huge @ss buses. When I am riding on them I don't mind the bus. There are always the most interesting people riding on SEPTA. The demographic also changes depending on where I am going. The only other complaint I have is regarding the Subway during the summer, its just to hot and gross on the platforms underground.

The greatest thing is that anywhere that I want to get in the city I can get there, and believe me when you are used to having to drive places (like around my parents house), really good Public transit is amazing.
